Caldeira

One team from first sketch to final delivery.

Our design and sourcing teams work with buyers to develop cushion ranges around an agreed price point, material, colour palette and delivery schedule — then we make them, check them and deliver them.

Design & trend research

Range development starts with the retailer's customer. Our designers track trends across international trade fairs — including Heimtextil in Frankfurt and the New York Home Fashions Market — and translate them into commercial ranges built around an agreed colour palette, price architecture and delivery calendar.

Buyers can select from our own collections or commission exclusive designs developed to their brief.

Product development

Our development team turns designs into production-ready products: selecting fabrics, specifying constructions and fills, and resolving trims, closures and packaging.

Because development sits alongside our own factory and sourcing operation, decisions about where and how a product is made are taken early — keeping quality and cost on target.

Fabric & material sourcing

We buy fabrics from established mills across Europe and Asia — Belgian cut velvets, Spanish tapestries, Turkish jacquards and chenilles among them — and source finished products through our Hangzhou operation.

Long-standing supplier relationships, managed by our dedicated supplier team, mean dependable quality and competitive pricing.

UK manufacturing

Our 85,000 sq ft Liverpool factory sews covers and fills cushions and inners, with capacity for over one million cushions a year.

UK manufacture gives retailers short lead times, fast replenishment and a Made in Britain story — and it is where our stock programmes and quick-turn promotional work are produced.

International manufacturing

Established in 2003, our Hangzhou operation manufactures cushions and sources products from an audited supplier network across the region.

Together with the UK factory it gives customers a dual-sourcing model — volume and value from China, speed and flexibility from the UK — managed by one team.

Quality assurance

Every factory we use is audited, and products are inspected through development, production and pre-shipment.

Our quality standards are built on manufacturing experience going back to 1986 — we make cushions ourselves, so we know exactly what to look for in everyone else's.

Merchandising & account support

Each retail customer has a dedicated account manager coordinating critical paths, order management, packaging and labelling to the retailer's specification.

Our customer team in Liverpool is the single point of contact across both our UK and Chinese operations.

Warehousing & distribution

The Knowsley site warehouses finished goods and distributes direct to retail customers across the UK, with export consolidation handled from our Chinese operation for international programmes.

Stock programmes held in Liverpool support fast replenishment and promotional activity.
